september: EXHIBITION TIme space encounter structure

Time space encounter structure

15 & 16 September

PHLOX Húns 20, 8832 KC Húns.

Sunday 16th september start 12:00 finish 17:00

Earlier this year Peer organised an AIR in Húns (Friesland,NL) for the making of the new publication Peer paper

creative process. That took place in the former village school that has been refurbished and now houses the new cultural platform Phlox. During the residency we researched together with five artists how the creative process functions within a collaborative group. Peer challenged the artists to collaborate and to talk openly about their process. The village Húns, set as the background of our experiments, became an integral part of the work we did together. The residency has led to new works which are bound to the place where the works have been developed and to the people who were involved in the process, like a group of kids from the village. Some works will literally become a permanent part of the building where Phlox is settled. On Friday 14th September we will be back to Húns to complete the work we started earlier this year, and on Sunday 16th we will present these works to the public at Phlox.

Programme, Sunday 16th september start 12:00 finish 17:00

With works by Sol Archer, Alexandra Colmenares Cossio, Sil Krol and Anne-Marie van Meel.

Everyone is welcome in Phlox from 12:00 o‘ clock. Throughout the day we will display the new works by the artists Alexandra Colmenares Cossio, Sil Krol, Anne-Marie van Meel and Sol Archer in the exhibition space. In the same space you are welcome to listen to recordings of the conversations that took place during the residency, through our Peer radio programme.

Tour through Húns with the village kids

This work has been developed by Sol Archer during the residency and is realised in collaboration with the kids from the village. Sol observed and got to know the children whom took him to their favourite places. Together with Marta Colpani it has been developed into a tour where the children show the visitors their version of the village.
